O Girl You Are Precious" by Nupur Dhingra

 Hi Wonderful Readers. Welcome to Shivesh’s Review. Today I'm going to review "O Girl You Are Precious" by Nupur Dhingra.
















I want to start writing the review with the great line from the Book. "The Creator is leading the way, sparkling his rays to conquer your despair." This means God is with us all the time. And God is going to help us to overcome our pain and suffering.

 



This time things would be a bit different. I won't be telling you why you should be reading this Book. This time it's up to you to make that decision.

 

Based on the things I experienced, learned, or liked about this Book.

 

1. Who can forget about the #MeToo movement in India that began in late 2018. Campaign against sexual harassment of women in the workplace. The Book portrays the struggle, pain, and dilemma of a girl "Amayra Wadhva" who faced sexual harassment at the workplace by her boss. And how bravely she fought her battle as an inspiration for all of us.

 

2. Indian Society is always believed to be Patriarchal in nature. But, we can't ignore the strength of the other 50% Population despite going through tremendous trauma. Amayra Wadhva would be the inspiration of every girl living in India Society.

 

3. We can conquer the world when we have the support of our parents, family members and friends.

 

4. Author words are so natural and straightforward. Words will make you feel that things are happening in real around you. And you are feeling the pain that she thought.

 

5. When I first got to know about "Mr. Nervous" in the Book. The very second I knew he has something to do with the happy ending of this Book. The story took a remarkable U-turn in the last chapter, which wasn't expected when Mr. Nervous was first introduced in the Book. "In my mind, I named him Mr. Nervous. He noticed me looking at him and gave a little smile."

 

6. Initially, there are various events taking place; we need to have patience while reading this Book because every dot/ event will fall in line at the end of the story.

 

7. You will also get to know the special relationship between the Father and Daughter. This makes the Book very special to read.

 

8. The Author is very Imaginative and has used the simile well. I would be sharing the two of them. That I liked the most, rest you need to find out yourselves. 

 

For Example, "Moreover, to me it feels like nurturing a small seed, watering it daily with values, ethics, morals, responsibilities and once the weed grows, shift it to (someone else's) garden to make it beautiful with all the qualities it beholds. "

"It felt like taking care of a baby of someone who has bestowed immense faith in you."  

 

9. Book also provides the experience of corporate life from a girl's perspective. How passionate, and hardworking they are in what they love to do. And challenges they face at the workplace. It's the life of a hardworking corporate girl—quite relatable.

 

 

10. Please have patience while reading this book because the author will take you to her own world by using her magical skill in the Book. After reading the whole book, you will realize, thank God I was part of this journey. And that's the beauty of her words. 

 

11. Women are much stronger than we think. They are capable of helping their family financially as well. Suppose their father or earning male member is going through hard times. They can also be in the driver's seat. This Book is an excellent example of an independent and powerful woman. 

 

12. Rather than being quiet and suffering from harassment at the workplace. One should fight our own battle. And create an example for the world because we live in a democratic country where our dignity matters the most. 

 

13. Please don't judge a book by its cover. It is the words inside it that make it unique. We can't judge a girl by her attire. It's value and principles that make her special.

 

14. We are free to live our life the way we want. We are free birds. Deserve a chance to love again. Be with someone with whom you want to be. Who makes you feel special and do everything to make you happy.

 

15. Book contains different thoughts that come into a girl's mind when she meets a stranger for her marriage. 

 

16. When a girl shares the darkest secret of her life. And her drop of tears rolls on your shirt. When her pain is yours, that's the most fantastic moment of your relationship. And at that moment, you fall for each other.

 

17. Why Always a boy playing the guitar gets the girl. 

 

18. Amayra's character in the Book is as sweet as the butterscotch flavoured ice cream she loves. 

 

19. It has the most beautiful ending.

 

20. Life always gives a chance to restart again. 

 

21. Never give up on your dream. At least give it a try. Who knows when a miracle would happen.

 

22. We can be an example for Society. We must rise above our fears. And when our family is there to support us. 

 

 

 

I hope after reading this Book, you will feel the same way as I thought.
